Description
Hylotelephium 'Jade Tuffet', formerly known as Sedum 'Jade Tuffet', is a compact, mound-forming succulent with thin, shiny green leaves and contrasting vibrant red stems with lateral branches. The leaves emerge shiny green in spring but turn reddish-green to deep red in summer under intense sun. The stems can grow up to 15.2 (38 cm) tall and about 0.3 inches (0.7 cm) in diameter. The leaves are oblanceolate, measuring about 1 inch (2.5 cm) long and up to 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) wide.
The baby pink flowers appear in large terminal clusters in fall, completely covering the foliage.
In winter, the foliage dies back to the ground, and new growth appears in spring. The plant is evergreen in mild climates.
