Baynesia is a genus of plants in family Apocynaceae, native to Namibia. It is contain only one species, Baynesia lophophora. Peter Bruyns discovered the plant in December 1999 in Baynes Mountains in northwestern-most corner of Namibia. He published it in 2000.
