Browsing: Tacinga

Tacinga is a genus in the Cactus family (Cactaceae), native to northeast Brazil. Once thought to be monotypic, the genus now comprises 4 species. The name is an anagram of the Brazilian word for the scrub-brush vegetation where the first plant in the genus was found, "catinga" or sometimes "caatinga".
